COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT AND SUPPORT

Sclater Partners Architects believes that community involvement is an integral part of a firm's philosophy. Reaching out to those who inhabit and use the buildings we create, as well as others in the community, is a key ingredient in Creating Places People Gather.

By actively participating in a variety of non-profit organizations, many members of the firm work hard to stay connected to each neighborhood they design for.

During the design and construction of the new $14,000,000 headquarters building for Childhaven, a private nonprofit providing therapeutic daycare services for abused preschool children, Alan Sclater served as chair of the Facilities Committee, from selection of the design team and construction contractor to the ribbon cutting on opening day. Alan currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Boys and Girls Club in the Central District of Seattle.

Sclater Partners is proud of its contributions to the following organizations:
  • American Institute of Architects
