THE NAME Originally founded in Los Angeles in 1935, the firm opened an office in Seattle, Washington in 1973. In 1980, Alan Sclater took over direction of the Seattle office, and in 1997, it assumed the name Sclater Partners Architects.
THE PRINCIPALS Business colleagues since the late 1970's, Sclater and fellow principals Jay Reeves and Craig Kasman share a common history and vision for the future. Today, the combination of years of management expertise, design vision, and development background has inspired a dynamic partnering of common goals and complementary experience.
THE PROJECTS Since its inception, the firm, its predecessors and its principals have designed a variety of projects across the country, including much of the nation's early retail development. Today, an expanded list of project types includes mixed-use, office, hotel, housing, retail, education and tenant improvements.
