Our philosophy is reflected in our identity statement, "Creating Places People Gather." Under the direction of principals Alan Sclater, Jay Reeves, Craig Kasman and Michael Chaplin, we employ a results-driven process of teamwork, creativity and flexibility.

WORKING TOGETHER
One of our most distinguishing characteristics is a commitment to teamwork. A targeted group of in-house project managers, designers and specialized consultants is assembled for each project. Members are selected on the basis of their knowledge and experience for the project at hand. We make goal setting and creative development a collective process.

THE DESIGN PROCESS
While architecture is often critically observed by only a few, Sclater Partners endeavors to include the input of many during the design process. Our design solutions are in direct response to each client’s unique requirements.

Their desired purpose, image, and context of the building, along with physical site conditions and features, energy needs and appropriate building systems and materials, are the driving forces behind each design decision. We do not promote any particular "style" of architecture. Rather, each project develops its own personality by means of a thoughtful design process, whereby a suitable "architecture" is formed.
